About

My name is Candice, but you probably already know that by now.  I am a simple, small-town girl from South Georgia, with a passion for conservation, journalism, and photography. I have spent my entire life outdoors and over the past few years have jumped into conservation. Much of my time has been spent writing, making fish attractors, bird watching, learning about extinct species, and taking the time to try to help the wild world around me. Luckily, I had the opportunity to go back to college in 2022, where I obtained a degree in Fish and Wildlife Management, followed by Conservation Law Enforcement.

I am happily wife to Clay and mama to Oakley. Together we enjoy spending our time outdoors, fishing, hunting, and running our family “farm,” where we raise chickens, quail, ducks, bees, and much more. Conservation and wildlife are a passion amongst my entire family, creating a life of adventure.

Growing up in Georgia, I spent much of my time running around barefoot outside, climbing trees, and swatting away plenty of mosquitos. Even now, I still participate in two of those activities, you can guess which two. For much of my childhood, I knew one day I wanted to make an impact on the wildlife around me. I hope that I can bring dynamic views and make a difference to help protect the flora and fauna that I love so dearly.
